Printmaking: Hybrid Form

Yale School of Art

Critic: Pedro Barbeito

Printmaking is here used as a political tool to highlight traces of the differences or similarities between the Israeli and Palestinian landscapes, specifically within liminal spaces.  I explored the Middle East through GIS systems and Google Earth to call out the relationship of the natural to the man-made. Other pieces explore cultural appropriation through testing the relationship of pop images to our culture and the misconception of the Arabic font.
